clothes...

I have a new favorite t-shirt website. =) You know those shirts you see the cool kids wearing...the one with pithy sayings or clever images? Threadless.com is my new favorite website to buy cool t-shirts.

this one is called "bad apple" =p

While we're talking about clothes here, friends of mine have been encouraging me to recycle clothes in addition the usual aluminum, glass and plastics. (You KNOW how I LOVE to recycle!!) Anyways - shopping at thrift stores and reviving vintage wear is another way to recycle. I never thought of that - but you know, it does make sense doesn't it?

So - give away your clothes that you don't want anymore...sell them at the used clothing store...or "recycle" them in the curbside recycle bin. (The San Jose Green Team takes textiles in their curbside bins - so if you have something that's unusable even as a dusting rag, send it out!)

another good thing about buying clothes from a thrift store is that the chemicals that are sprayed on new clothing generally has been washed away by the time the clothing has been "recycled" this is especially good news if you are buying clothing for your children.
