Srimangal was a nice break from the city of Dhaka. Srimangal is a city in the district of Sylhet, which is one of the richest districts in Bangladesh. The majority of the natural resources of the country are located in this district - so trade is richer. Because the general population is more wealthy - most families have at least one member outside of Bangladesh who is working in a foreign country earning higher salaries, and sending home money (remittances). Even the poor in Srimangal seemed to have fairly good homes in comparison to the poor in Dhaka.
